Chainsaw
To allow a single person to easily and quickly cut timber ‘sticks’ up to 300 mm in diameter to the correct length, at a small angle if desired, to be used in a stoping environment for permanent hanging wall support. The standard timber ‘stick’ size used in South African mines is 200 mm diameter.
