Rock Drills
- This is a unique product that is able to recirculate all the water used for powering the rock drill with only the hole flushing water being dispensed.
- Hand held rock drills can operate from a centralized pump station or each drill can be paired with its own 0.8 litre/sec high pressure pump. The single drill power pack is light and can be manoeuvered with ease. The pump system comprises of a diaphragm pump, permanent magnet motor, motor variable speed drive and PLC.
- The combination of the rock drill, thrust leg and high pressure pump is extremely energy efficient for the output achieved. The rate of penetration is on average 1 m/minute in hard rock (typically 180 MPa rock strength) and hole sizes vary from 28 mm to 38 mm.
