SAFETY ISOLATION VALVE - Low Pressure

PURPOSE
HPE’s high pressure Safety Isolation Valves incorporate both excess flow shutdown and tight shut-off isolation functions. In the event of an excess flow condition arising, example from a pipe burst, the valve will close automatically. To avoid pressure surges (ie. water hammer), the valve closes in two stages: initially very rapidly to prevent runaway flow, then finally slowly to give a soft shut off. Safe filling, flushing and isolation of pipelines are guaranteed, whether the valve is operated manually or by an actuating cylinder.
FEATURES
  • Internally pre-set to specific max. trip flow rates
  • Fail-safe closure
  • Fail-safe pipeline filling and flushing
SPECIFICATIONS
  • Conform to ANSI B16.34
  • Flanges to customer requirements
  • Cast steel body with corrosion resistant internal parts (galvanised body optional)
  • High dirt tolerance

SAFETY ISOLATION VALVE - High Pressure

PURPOSE
HPE’s Low Pressure Safety Isolation Valves close safely in the event of excess flow conditions caused by pipe line failure or excess consumption from downstream operations. The valve can be manually or hydraulically (water pressure signal) closed and then re-opened without an excess flow condition occurring.
FEATURES
  • Shuts off flow when closing trigger is activated
  • When activating the opening trigger, it fills the pipeline downstream in a controlled manner
SPECIFICATIONS
  • Conform to ANSI B16.34
  • Y-pattern globe-type body for reduced pressure drop
  • Can be maintained in line
  • Flanges to customer requirements
  • Cast steel body with corrosion resistant internal parts (galvanised body optional)
  • Rated 25 MPa working pressure
  • High dirt tolerance
  • High cavitation resistance due to poppet and cage design
