DAM LEVEL CONTROL VALVE

PURPOSE
HPE’s Dam Level Control Systems are designed to control the water level in dams fed from high pressure pipelines. The system consists of an energy dissipator to limit flow to specific requirements and eliminate noise and cavitation, Dam Level Control Valve and a float operated pilot control system.
FEATURES
  • Flow rate is limited by the energy dissipator which thus prevents excessive flow conditions
  • Valve operation is either fully open or fully closed
  • Controlled opening and closing rates prevent pressure surges (ie. water hammer)
  • Fail safe and tamper resistant pilot system
  • Electric control option available
SPECIFICATIONS
  • Conform to ANSI B16.34
  • Y-pattern globe-type body for reduced pressure drop
  • Can be maintained in line
  • Flanges to customer requirements
  • Cast steel body with corrosion resistant internal parts (galvanised body optional)
  • Rated 25 MPa working pressure
  • High dirt tolerance
  • High cavitation resistance due to poppet and cage design
