BOX HOLE CHUTES
PURPOSE

To offer an alternative to air operated box hole chutes where problems are experienced with air supply capacity, unnecessary spillage and a poor hopper fill factor. Mine service water (5 to 12 Bar) is used as an energy source.

The high pressure hydropower type box hole chute is mainly used in hydropower mines where the water pressure is up to 20 MPa.

 
FEATURES
  • Dead mans handle – automatic closure (Low pressure and high pressure type)
  • Accumulator fitted to high pressure hydropower type box hole chute to close automatically in the event of energy source failure
  • Operator removed 10m from box
  • Smooth control over radial door to minimize spillage and ensure a higher fill factor
  • Control system can be made to fit all types of box hole systems (If HPE box hole chute is not used)
  • Spillage door version available
